Finn Wolfhard thinks Stranger Things ending with season 5 is the right choice

“Stranger Things” almost fooled the TV gods a bit in Season 4 by having movie-length episodes and splitting the season into two volumes, released five weeks apart. It contained a lot as Mike and his friends faced the new threat of breaking bones from Vecna, who was always there with a grandfather clock to let the characters know their time was up.

Offscreen, the clock is now ticking for "Stranger Things" itself, which may feature a time jump in Season 5. Some have said Season 4 went on too long, but that's understandable given that the creators of the series, the Duffer Brothers, were working on an 800-page Teleplay. Season 5 should be shorter.

For his part, Wolfhard said he'd like to see "Stranger Things" Season 5 "draw more on the dynamic of Season 1." The series' conclusion will no doubt be epic, but Wolfhard is hoping for something that's also "a bit more contained." He ended by saying:

"For me, if 'Stranger Things' lasted more than five [seasons], I would say that would be ridiculous. I think the Duffer brothers found, I guess, a perfect ending in five. We don't have no I don't even know if we would do two. So we're glad people are still here and want to watch it. But yeah, I'm excited. Four was huge, but I think I'd like to see the fifth season build more on the dynamic of Season 1, and be kind of a bit more contained, but also gigantic. Hopefully we get an ending for each character that's satisfying enough for the fans."

Season 5 of "Stranger Things" doesn't have a release date yet, but we'll keep you posted.
