France defender Giulian Biancone joins Nottingham Forest as third summer signing

Nottingham Forest have made French defender Giulian Biancone their third signing after promotion to the Premier League.

Biancone, who has represented France under 19, told nottinghamforest.co.uk: "I am very happy to come to a club like Nottingham Forest after a good experience with my former club Troyes.

"I know it's a great club, very well known across Europe and I'm very happy to join the club, with its great fan base and history.

"Having spoken to the head coach, it's clear there are exciting times ahead and I can't wait to join my new team-mates and start in the Premier League."

Head Coach Cooper added: "Giulian is a very talented defender who has generated a lot of interest from European clubs. He has proven himself at the highest level in France and Belgium in recent years, and he recognizes what we want to build at Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

"He is a versatile defender who is a great asset at centre-back or on the right and we are delighted to welcome him to Nottingham Forest."

In the meantime, the transfer of Fabio Carvalho to Liverpool has been confirmed by the club.

On his move to Anfield, Carvalho said: "It's just an incredible feeling to be here at one of the biggest clubs in the world, if not the biggest. So I'm just happy to be here and can't wait to get started.

“Once you hear that Liverpool are interested, there is only one thought in your mind, which is to join them and try to be in and around the team. hopes to be able to achieve great things.

"I spoke with everyone, including the manager, and it was so natural. When things become natural, it's so much easier to make a decision."

He added: "I don't think you really need persuasion to become a Liverpool player because of the size of the club."
