Author Dr. Angela B. Peery, Delta Air Lines passenger with 'Diamond Medallion Level Status, wrote on the "Official Delta Diamond Medallion Group" Facebook page that she was a "winner" for receiving 8,500 SkyMiles from customer service for reporting a flight attendant she saw using her phone.
She commented: “I wrote my complaint about Joshua, the FA who hid in the kitchen and was generally shit ***** SDF-ATL [Louisville-Atlanta] Wednesday. I received a personal call from a Delta customer service agent and 8,500 Skypesos [slang for SkyMiles]! Win!'
In another post, Dr. Peery, an educational consultant, posted a photo of a flight attendant using his phone while he was strapped into a crew jump seat, writing: 'This will be the third photo I've sent to Delta in two weeks. Three out of four flights have FA on their aircraft. This one is clever: he hides it behind the Delta plane as it heads for takeoff.'
