Full trailer for Katie Holmes' movie 'Alone Together' starring Jim Sturgess

"Do I really want to be with someone who doesn't want to be with me during a pandemic?" Vertical has revealed the main official trailer for Alone Together , the second feature film directed by actress Katie Holmes. This recently premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival this summer, and will be available to watch in July on VOD and in theaters. Another lockdown film from the COVID-19 pandemic, with a twist. Two strangers entangled in bad relationships end up in the same rental house in upstate New York and end up hooking up. Katie Holmes plays one stranger and Jim Sturgess the other - both end up staying there until Holmes' boyfriend John shows up. Derek Luke also co-stars, along with Zosia Mamet and Melissa Leo. It's a better trailer than the teaser, but it still feels like the kind of movie everyone is going to skip. No one wants to rewatch pandemic lockdown time right now, even if it turns out to be a good romantic drama. I'm curious to see the relationship build between Sturgess and Holmes, I just hope it's not too cheesy overall.

Heading upstate for a short romantic getaway to escape the pandemic in New York, food critic June's (Katie Holmes) plans go awry from the start. Arriving at the AirBnb before her boyfriend, John (Derek Luke), she's shocked to find he's also been double-booked by recently single Charlie (Jim Sturgess). When John decides to stay in town to take care of his parents, June has to settle for the long haul as she realizes that the first two weeks of the pandemic may well last a little longer than expected. As spring begins to unfold around them, June and Charlie enjoy the sudden break from their routines and develop an unexpected intimacy as they bond over their goals, ambitions and, of course, their relationships. /em> Alone Together is both written and directed by American actress-turned-filmmaker Katie Holmes, her second feature film after previously directing All We Had, as well as another short film. This premieres at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival this month. Vertical will next debut Holmes' Alone Together in select U.S. theaters on July 22, 2022, as well as on VOD beginning July 29 this summer.
