Futurama Season 11 Review: A Sweet and Satisfying Return

The last time "Futurama" ended, Fry and Leela were standing in front of a portal that would take them back to the beginning, and they decided to try again. That's how this season begins, and thankfully it doesn't do the frustratingly frustrating relationship the two had in the early parts of the series. Fry and Leela's romance is the glue that holds "Futurama" together, frankly, and their domestic bliss is ours too. Sure, the new season throws challenges in their path, but they handle it as a couple and their love and commitment to each other is never in question. In fact, they might have a stronger bond than ever. That's a damn good thing because they're forced to deal with all sorts of new problems ranging from the dangers of Frenzy to surviving a parody of "Dune."

Another romance that's getting a bit of attention this season is that of Amy and Kif, as they finally see their children emerge from the nursery, turning their little family into a bigger one. Parenting is hard enough when raising a baby, but multiple half-alien kids at once? Yeah. As always, the rest of the Planet Express crew are here to help as best they know, except maybe Zoidberg, who seems more interested in eating alien babies than raising them.
