Now West's latest partnership, Yeezy, is being roasted online for the unorthodox way he allegedly demanded items be sold in stores.

Photos and videos of merchandise at Gap retail stores appear to be selling in what can only be described as gigantic trash bags, dumped in the middle of the retail store with the clothes not even inside folded or organized by size or style.

"That's how they sell Yeezy GAP," one Twitter user captioned one of the photos. "The seller said Ye got mad when he saw they had it on hangers and that's how he wanted it. They won't help you find your size either, you don't just have to search everything."

Twitters had mixed reactions to the visuals, with some calling West a "genius" while others bemoaned the problems it would cause for Gap employees and customers.

"Yay. GAP's underpaid employees clean up the mess of customers every 15 minutes and sack everything because some billionaire thought it would be cooler," one wrote.

"Balenciaga and Kanye's fetish with the homeless as 'fashion muses' is all that's wrong with billionaires," another said. "They don't see the plight of people anymore, they don't see humans suffering, they see opportunities to be 'angry' and take advantage of them...it's disgusting."

The collection was created in collaboration with designer Balenciaga, who also had his own take on edgy fashion after making headlines for selling a $1,790 'Trash Pouch' earlier this month -this - essentially a glorified drawstring bag that was meant to look precisely like a trash bag.

Balenciaga also made an Ikea lookalike tote bag that sold for $2,145.

The Yeezy Gap collaboration was first announced in 2020 and consists of a mix of basics and accessories that are well above Gap's usual price point but well below Balenciaga's, with products ranging from $60 (baseball caps, seamless tank tops) to $340 (coats, parkas).

The collaboration kicked off in-store last month in Times Square, where Gap's flagship storefront was transformed to Ye's taste and to represent the essence of the collection.

"Gap's flagship store in Times Square has been redesigned and distilled into its most essential form in Yeezy Gap Engineered By Balenciaga's utilitarian design vision," Gap said in a statement at the time.

Contractor has contacted Gap for clarification on the retail plan to sell the collection merchandise.

The gap had narrowed nearly 59% year over year since Wednesday afternoon.
