Several people were reportedly stabbed at a train station following reports of a police shooting in Germany.

One person shared online that they were told there was a 'stabbing attack followed by a police shootout' at Gateway Gardens train station near Frankfurt airport.

Frankfurt police confirmed shooting an attacker and said he was injured, according to local reports.

They have not confirmed what led to the shooting or the extent of the man's injuries. They added that at least one shot was fired.
