Sir Gavin Williamson allegedly told a senior official to 'cut your throat' in what they said was a campaign of intimidation while he was Defense Secretary.

Rishi Sunak is coming under increasing pressure over his decision to bring his ally back into government after reports of new inflammatory allegations about his conduct.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) official said Sir Gavin made the remarks in front of colleagues at a meeting and on another occasion told them to 'jump out the window'.

The Cabinet Minister said he "firmly" rejected the allegation and insisted he had "enjoyed a good working relationship" with those responsible.

But allegations, reported by , including that Sir Gavin "deliberately belittled and intimidated" the civil servant on a regular basis, are sure to add to calls for his sacking.

The Prime Minister is under fire for bringing Sir Gavin back into government when he knew he was under investigation for allegedly bullying former chief whip Wendy Morton.

In a series of profanity-laden texts exposed over the weekend, Sir Gavin accused Ms Morton of seeking to 'punish' MPs in disgrace with then-Prime Minister Liz Truss by ruling out a funeral for the Queen, warning: "There is a price for everything."
