Gerflor becomes sponsor of the AFC futsal finals in Kuwait

September 22 - Global flooring and wallcovering giant Gerflor has become an official sponsor of the AFC Asian Cup Futsal Tournament Kuwait 2022 and the AFC Futsal Club Championship AFC of 2023.

Gerflor, which employs more than 4,000 people in 100 countries, achieved a turnover of 1.05 billion euros in 2021.

The partnership stems from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and Gerflor's commitment to the highest standards of play and safety for players and match officials. Gerflor will provide futsal pitch flooring solutions for the Kuwait finals.

Taraflex by Gerflor has been a leading brand in global flooring since its launch in 1947.

The 2022 AFC Asian Futsal Cup will be the 17th edition of the championship. Turkmenistan had been the designated host for the 2020 championship but these finals were canceled due to the covid pandemic.

Kuwait has retained the 2022 schedule, but the tournament has been moved from February to the current date which sees it start on September 27 and run until October 8.

Iran are the current defending champions of 2018 and will defend their crown against 16 other nations in the final.
