Google Introduces Workspaces Spaces Chats Conversation Summaries

Having trouble following conversations in your chats in your workspaces? Google feels your pain and is "excited to introduce conversation summaries in Google Chat for messages in Spaces." From now on, your conversations in Spaces Chats will be summarized directly in your Premium workspace.

The problem is, of course, that while chats in spaces are great for conversations, in large workspaces those conversations can be hard to follow unless you always check your spaces for new ones. conversations in chats.

Fortunately, Google is bringing its expertise in communication apps to address this conversational crisis in your Workspace Spaces Chats. From now on, messages from your conversations will be summarized directly in your chats, inside spaces in workspaces! Premium workspaces selected, anyway.

You read that right. The conversation summary of messages in your Spaces Chat workspace will appear at the top of chats in Spaces, summarizing any unread chat in the Chats conversation. Click on the Spaces Chats summary and you'll jump straight to the conversation, even if it's already visible and the conversation summary has only summarized a few lines of the Chats conversation.

If you use spaces in your workspace and tend to have conversations in chats in those spaces, Google Chat Conversation Summarization might be the perfect solution to summarizing those talkative chats. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be available for Google Chat, i.e. regular Google Chat (i.e. the new one in your Gmail which was maybe Hangouts), only Google Chat for Spaces in Workspaces, and (remember) select Premium Workspaces at that. Certainly not Meet messaging. So you probably don't have access to it. But you possibly could, if Workspace Spaces Chats still exists in six months. (I check with Google on this.)
