Thailand: a helicopter injures eight after flying over a stadium

This is the moment a clumsy helicopter pilot runs over eight people while trying to scatter candy at a children's party.

The accident caused the roof of some marquee tents to collapse on a crowd in Tha Chang township in Muang district of Thailand.

The Thai Navy helicopter was flying low to scatter flowers and candy for children celebrating a National Children's Day event.

However, as the helicopter hovered above the crowd, it sent powerful downdrafts that caused the outer tents to flatten and collapse on people attending the event.

Video filmed at the scene of the incident shows people screaming and running as the roof collapses.

A 58-year-old woman named by local media as Nareerat Khumkana was reportedly taken to nearby Prapokklao Hospital in Chanthaburi Province with a broken neck and a cut on her head.
