I Usually Avoid Polarizing Trends, But I Strangely Like These 5

When it comes to fashion trends and my personal style, you'll usually catch me in my 90s-inspired minimalist corner. As a creative director and fashion editor, my job is to keep the pulse on mainstream and emerging trends, especially those that are polarizing. For the most part, I skip over the ones that create the most talk when it comes to my own wardrobe. Each season, however, I'm surprised which of the controversial pieces appeals to me.

Right now, the polarizing trends that I'm enjoying more and more seem to stem purely from nostalgia. For example, I can't help but think of the glory days of the Olsen twins with the resurgence of giant bags. With baggy jeans popping up everywhere, I'm immediately transported back to when I wore JNCO jeans. Ahead, check out five of the trends that are catching my attention this season.
