An eight-year-old revealed how he climbed the equivalent of eight Mount Everest.

Charlie Batham, from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, spends his weekends climbing all over the UK with his dad Paul.

Speaking to , Paul, 54, said: "For his fifth birthday we had booked a holiday to Anglesey and asked him if 'there was something he'd like to do while he was there.

'He said he'd like to climb a mountain and it all started from there... I couldn't be more proud. What he did, at the age he did it, is incredible.'

"I can't believe I've done so much," added Charlie, who said his ultimate goal was to climb Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world. above sea level.
