Within a few weeks, I took my daughter, Lili, to the Disneyland Hotel and now, more than 30 years later — and after two years of renovation — we are there again, joined by Lili's children, Bodhi, five, and Cosmo, two .
Arriving at the station, the sight of the lavish, fairytale pink hotel injects a thrill of excitement into the excited aspiring pirates and princesses.< /p>
And Disneyland Hotel is still the flagship place to stay.
Although the Smarties for breakfast are Lili's dominant memory, I remember sections of gathered curtains, gathered blinds and questionable carpets reminiscent of a Cincinnati convention center, displaying an unapologetic American ethos.
