Inside Yevgeny Prigozhin's private jet hours before it crashed, killing Wagner's chief

The walls are paneled in oak, the seats upholstered in the finest white leather...all bought at the cost of blood and untold human misery.

These are photos of the cabin of Yevgeny Prigozhin's private jet taken hours before it crashed into the ground, killing the Russian warlord who challenged President Vladimir Putin. US intelligence said an on-board bomb was likely involved and pointed the finger at the Kremlin.

Our photos are taken from a video broadcast on the Russian Telegram channel VChK-OGPU, which is said to have close links with the security forces. It is described as being the "result of a security breach". In the footage, an unidentified man and woman – believed to be “potential buyers” of the plane – can be heard speaking in Russian.

No one is pictured in the clip, but the camera pans around the plane, capturing the white leather seats. We move into a living room with a large velvet sofa and we even see plans of the bathroom. Local media reported: “The man only had a phone with him. The woman was carrying a handbag. After examining the aircraft both outside and inside for about an hour, they calmly departed."
