Jak Knight, star of Big Mouth and Bust Down, dead at 28

Knight's style made him an immediate and perfect choice for 'Big Mouth', which is an honest and secular look at what it's like to be surrounded by a bunch of hormone-crazed kids going through puberty. This whole show is about finding some authenticity in the absurd and the offensive, which was Knight's bread and butter.

The young actor was also breaking into the cinema, having recently completed his work on Chelsea Peretti's first film, titled "First Time Female Director". Peretti also plays with Amy Poehler, Megan Mullally, Kate Berlant, Max Greenfield and Megan Stalter.

He was about to escape, which makes his untimely death all the more tragic. If you watch one of his stand-up specials (I recommend his set for "Netflix Is A Joke", an example can be seen here) you'll see a guy comfortable on stage, young enough to s convincingly tackle this proven generation. humor in a real and fun way, still hungry enough to push your limits, but without feeling like you're hitting or excluding people.

Knight was a rising star, but even at 28 he left behind a legacy that will keep people laughing for years to come.
