Janet Jackson loses audio at Essence Fest, ends weekend in trouble

Janet Jackson was not insensitive to the technical difficulties plaguing the Essence Festival – losing sound in the middle of her performance...but getting through it anyway.

The singer was one of the big headliners for the NOLA concert series this weekend at Caesars Superdome... where TONS of huge stars performed in a Coachella-like event. Which was also comparable... audio issues often seen in a live broadcast.

No exception for Janet, unfortunately, as during her set... her mic seemed to cut off while she was speaking or singing, seen here in the video obtained by TMZ.

The good news is that this little hiccup went unnoticed, and the rest of Janet's time on stage was a resounding success... as she rummaged through hit after hit after hit for over an hour, leaving fans more than satisfied with the melodies and choreography.

Now, that's worth mentioning...there seemed to be quite a few sound issues over the last two days of acts - including complaints about Halle and Chloe Bailey's set, with people saying their levels weren't good and sounded funky to live audiences.

C/H's audio was the least of some people's worries...even more viewers at home were pissed that Hulu only aired their newest song live...a recurring theme for the festival -- namely, who subscribers watching on Hulu may have seen.
