A Jay-Z and Jeff Bezos partnership to buy the Washington Commanders appears to be in full swing...because Monday night the two billionaires had dinner in L.A. -- breaking bread for over two hours.

The duo met Horses near the Sunset Strip around 7:30 p.m. – just days after it was revealed they both had a mutual interest in bidding for Daniel Snyder's COs. The restaurant is closed on Monday, but the owner opened the doors just for them.

TMZ Sports has learned that Bezos stayed at the table until around 9:30 a.m....while Jay didn't leave until after midnight.

The two men kept things low-key as they entered and left the restaurant - Jay wore a beanie and hoodie, while Bezos wore a casual polo shirt. Lauren Sanchez accompanied JB -- while Corey Gamble seemed to be there alongside HOV -- I don't know why.
