Julia Fox Says Whirlwind Kanye West Romance Hurt Her Acting Career

Julia Fox does "No Sudden Move" when it comes to her next acting role.

The 'Uncut Gems' actress has revealed her high-profile six-week romance with Grammy winner Kanye West in early 2022 had a negative effect on her acting career.

"After the great relationship, I definitely noticed a change in the way of acting, not in a good way," Fox said on Emily Ratajkowski's "High Low with EmRata" podcast (via ). “I don't get as many offers as I used to, oddly. There were a lot of weird downsides to reaching that level of notoriety."

However, Fox noted that she was "so busy" with other projects, including a book on the horizon.

"I think things happen to you at the right time, which is why I really don't stress," Fox added. "I really don't care."

Fox is set to star in 'The Puppet,' written and directed by Adam and Chris Levett. She will also appear in the animated drama "The Trainer" alongside Gina Gershon, Bella Thorne, Paris Hilton, Taylour Paige, Stephen Dorff, Gus Van Sant, Steven Van Zandt, Finneas O'Connell, Lenny Kravitz and Gavin Rossdale. Fox is rumored to be playing Debi Mazar in Madonna's upcoming biopic opposite Julia Garner as the "Material Girl" singer.

As for Fox's ex, West, the "Runaway" rapper was effectively canceled following white supremacist and anti-Semitic statements. The Yeezy founder was dumped by Adidas, Balenciaga, Vogue and CAA, while MRC financiers shelved the "Ye" documentary as the film wrapped.

West launched a bid to buy the right-wing social media platform Parler, saying, "In a world where conservative views are seen as controversial, we need to make sure we have the right to express ourselves freely. "

West is currently facing a rumored lawsuit from George Floyd's family after West falsely claimed during a deleted "Drink Champs" episode since Floyd died of a fentanyl overdose in place of police violence. The lawsuit lists Floyd's daughter, jointly represented by the two companies, seeking $250 million in damages.

West attempted to apologize for his recent comments during an interview with Piers Morgan.

"I just want to say that it's wrong to hold an apology hostage and I have to let that go, and release myself from the trauma and say, 'Look, I'm just going to give it all to God now,'" said West said. "And tell those families that I've hurt, you know, I really want to give you a big hug. And I want to say I'm sorry for hurting you with my comments. And I want to put that not in a political way, but in a presidential way, which means what I knew a president was when I was growing up."
