Justice Department says Louisville PD engaged in misconduct for years before Breonna Taylor murder

The Justice Department has released its findings regarding the death of Breonna Taylor...saying that the Louisville PD has a pattern of civil rights abuses in the years leading up to her death.

Findings of the department's federal investigation were released Wednesday - indicating that the Louisville Metro Police Department has a history of alleged civil rights abuses and excessive force misconduct...beginning years before Taylor's murder in 2020.

The report, obtained by TMZ, says police have committed a host of other violations over the years...including violating the rights of those who engage in free speech, conduct of searches without proper warrants and, more specifically, the unlawful execution of search warrants without knocking.

He states that the Louisville PD has "practiced an aggressive style of policing which it selectively deploys, particularly against black people, but also against vulnerable people throughout the city." He also indicates that police chiefs often suggested ways to improve, but nothing was ever done.

As you know, Taylor was shot almost 3 years ago by police who were trying to raid her apartment. His death sparked outrage across the country, with many saying cops failed to announce their presence properly before bursting in.
