Krampus Features a Brilliant Voice Cameo You May Have Missed

Although the evil gingerbread trio don't speak, they have actors to voice their menacing screams. Seth Green, whose resume includes a healthy dose of voice acting, is behind Lumpy, while "Rick and Morty's" Justin Roiland gives Clumpy his grunts. Breehn Burns, who developed and performed voice work for Pendleton Ward's "Bravest Warriors" animated web series, is the final piece of the puzzle as Dumpy. All of these personalities have worked in the world of quirky animation, and it's not too hard to see how the gingerbread men of "Krampus" could fit perfectly into "Rick and Morty" or the Green's stop-motion show, "Robot Chicken".

The gingerbread men were also one of the film's few fully digital effects, although Michael Dougherty specifically wanted them to look like they were in stop-motion. Green's work on "Robot Chicken" makes him well-suited to voice characters in that kind of visual style, as does his penchant for a low-key appearance in high-profile geeky material. He's voiced Howard the Duck, for example, every time the character appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he's behind Todo 360, Cad Bane's bounty-hunting droid sidekick, in the animated "Star Wars" shows. Dave Filoni, "The Clone Wars" and "The Bad Batch." He also reprized the role of Leonardo for the third season of 2012's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series and seemingly provided hundreds of pop culture impressions on "Robot Chicken." Last but not least, in arguably his best-known role, he's behind Chris Griffin in "Family Guy." In other words, he's just the kind of guy to be disappointed for lending his vocal cords to violent, stop-motion gingerbread cookies, and the world is a better place for it.
