Lancashire made an operating profit of £5.3 million for the year 2023, a said the club.

As well as profits - up from £3 million in 2022 - they also generated "record" revenues of 36 .5 million, an increase of 25% on the previous year.

"It's been another incredibly busy 12 months for everyone involved with the club," said Chief Financial Officer Angela Lowes.

"It has been a tremendous effort by our staff to achieve everything we have done this year and I would like to express my thanks for all their hard work and dedication."

The pitch also hosted the independent group of Sheffield Arctic Monkeys for two nights with a combined attendance of over 100,000.

The on-site hotel recorded revenues of £6.5 million pound sterling. the conferences and events business contributing £4.1 million.

In 2024, the ground is expected to host an England men's test match against Sri Lanka in August and a T20. international against Australia in September.
