Lennon announces his retirement



"I finally decided it was time to hang up my boots, after weighing all my options I didn't feel any better for myself and my young family.

“It was a very difficult selection because football has been my lifestyle, because maybe the age of three and the last twenty years of professional play at the top have been so superb.

“I cherished every minute of it! Football is very important to me and usually will do. been everything and more.

"I just have to say a big thank you to my loved ones, my own family and friends who have supported me throughout this adventure. My agent Leon Angel and CAA Base who have also been there from the start so far. All the players I've played with, it's been an absolute satisfaction…”
