In honor of the Cowgirl Couture season, we spoke to four real-life barrel racers about their go-to denim for ELLE.com's Unexpected Expert latest installment.

My favorite jeans are the Wrangler pant jeans. They are super comfortable for everyday use or when I go to the rodeo. A good pair of rodeo jeans should have a soft and stretchy material. This makes riding more comfortable when your jeans fit your sitting or standing position. My advice when it comes to choosing good jeans that don't chafe is to test them while squatting. There should be no uncomfortable rubbing or lower abdominal pressure that would make it uncomfortable while riding.
