LF.Group has raised $1 million to help gamers around the world find teammates for multiplayer games.

San Francisco-based Grishin Robotics provided funding for London-based LF.Group to hire software engineers and community managers.

LF.Group operates a software platform as an all-in-one free service for gaming communities. With this platform, each guild will be able to create a guild page and use it to search for new players, CEO Alexey Moiseenkov said in an interview with GamesBeat.

The company targets the 300 million gamers worldwide who spend approximately 20 hours a week playing games. This will help them recruit teammates and join forces for better results in online games.

LF.Group offers a comprehensive software toolkit that empowers gaming communities to host events and organize activities in a simple and secure way. The company first launched its service through a Discord bot, allowing World of Warcraft and Lost of Ark players to create parties and list characters they want to feature in new teams.

LF.Group has grown organically to serve gaming communities and gamers of varying skill levels. Today, it's a self-contained, growing product with 50,000 player profiles and more than 200 teams waiting to start signing newcomers, the company said.

Alexey Moiseenkov is CEO of LF.Group.

Series entrepreneur Moiseenkov is one of the co-founders. He previously launched Prisma Labs (111 million installs and #1 app on the AppStore in 2016) and Capture Technologies (first community-oriented messaging).

"We're on a really interesting mission. I'm a hardcore gamer with a thousand hours of World of Warcraft and League of Legends gameplay," Moiseenkov said. "When you spend 20 hours a week in a game, your relationship with the game is more like your career."

For players who want better results, metrics, and gameplay experiences, the team decided to do something to keep players more engaged.

"We wanted to create the ultimate hub for a community of gamers that will help them interact with users and gamers around the world," he said. "We started with the most team-oriented hardcore games like World of Warcraft and League of Legends."
