Liz Truss should get the 'benefit of the doubt', the chief of investment banking giant JPMorgan Chase has said after the PM brought the UK to the brink of financial crisis during his first months in office.

Although many consider Ms Truss to have potentially had the worst No 10 start in modern history, Jamie Dimon - the chief executive of the states largest investment bank United - said new governments "always have problems".< /p>

"I would like to see the new prime minister, the new chancellor, succeed," Dimon told CNBC during the Techstars conference in London on Monday.
