Louis Tomlinson has a new album on the way. On September 1, the 30-year-old former One Direction singer released "Bigger Than Me", the lead single from his second solo album, "Faith in the Future".

Tomlinson announced the album the day before the single's release on Twitter. "Thank you for allowing me to make the music I want to make," he wrote alongside the announcement. He also shared the album's release date and his 14-song list.

In a press release on the single, Tomlinson said he shaped his second album specifically around live performances. "That was my first moment of excitement making this record, and where I felt like we were onto something that honors the live show," he said, per Billboard. "I've always strived to be a very normal, humble person in this life, but there's a limit to that and a responsibility that comes with being in that position." He added, "I realized doing these live shows what it means to my fans and how much bigger everything I do is bigger than me. It's almost a majority for me and putting opinions on me in the back of my mind and thinking about what it potentially means to other people."

Tomlinson's candid and moving debut album 'Walls' was released in 2020 and peaked at #9 on the chart.
