Madonna 'vigorously' defends late start lawsuit filed by fans

Madonna will 'vigorously defend' lawsuits filed by fans after falling further late two hours to a show, its representatives said.

The singer is being sued by two fans who attended her concert last month in New York.

The case says the two men "would not have paid for their tickets" if they had known it would end so late.

Representatives and promoters of American singer Live Nation said a technical problem caused the delay.

The joint statement read: "The shows have opened in America North at Barclays in Brooklyn as planned, except for a technical problem Dec. 13 during sound check.

"This caused a delay well documented in press articles of the time. We intend to pursue this cause vigorously."

The statement added that the recent European leg of the tour "received rave reviews."< /p>
