Maker Faire Rome returns for the 10th year, October 7

Maker Faire Rome has been a shining star in the European Maker Faire experience. I have personally attended it a few times and I can tell you that it is quite impressive. Over the past ten years they have evolved in many ways, growing and trying new things. During the pandemic, they went to a quasi-digital event, and now they've got some new tricks up their sleeve combining digital and physical in exciting new ways!

This year, as it is a special ten-year celebration, they will not only have the standard three-day event, they will also have digital initiatives and experiences around the 'event. During the days leading up to the main Maker Faire (October 3-6), they're going to be doing something they're calling "CommonGround" which will include themed discussions, panels, and networking with prominent entrepreneurs, policy makers, and of academics on the themes of Culture, Electronics and Health.

There will also be a parallel digital experience for the creator Make Rome which will be divided into thematic channels, produced by a real television studio. This will include images from the Maker Faire and will also incorporate links to people who are innovating and experimenting around the world.

During the event, you will find a huge location divided into themes for you to explore. This year the main themes are:

music maker art maker The Metaverse Robotics Agritech

However, the kind of stuff you'll find isn't limited to these themes. Maker Faire Rome has always been a strong believer in the concept of "circular economy" and features many things that fit under this umbrella concept, not to mention passion projects and experiences that are simply impossible to define

.

To get an idea of the designers who will be featured at Maker Faire Rome, check out the full list which you can sort by tag.

I visited in 2018 and did a few live tours. Watch them to get an idea of what a huge event it is!

I'll bring you more information closer to the event, so keep watching our blog!
