A man has been charged with throwing eggs at King Charles and will appear in court in January, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has confirmed.
Patrick Thelwell, 23, has been charged with threatening behavior after a police investigation revealed he threw four eggs at the King and Queen consort; who all missed.
He will appear in York Magistrates Court on January 20, 2023.
Charles and Camilla were being greeted by York City leaders on November 9 when four eggs were thrown at them, all of which missed, before the couple were whisked away.
