Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag hits out at Cristiano Ronaldo over 'truth' interview

United's public position is that they don't want to sell Ronaldo. Especially since he was by far the Red Devils' top scorer last season, netting 24 goals in all competitions.

However, some recent reports claim that Ten Hag may be softening his stance of not wanting to give up on the player. Ronaldo stormed onto the pitch without cheering the fans after United's 4-0 thrashing, and is apparently having a negative impact on team morale.

Ten Hag suffered disastrous defeats in his opening two Premier League games, with Ronaldo returning to the starting lineup for the beating at Brentford. Ronaldo returned late to the club's pre-season preparations amid his quest to leave the club, although he cited "personal reasons" for staying in Portugal for much of the summer.
