The man who killed his ex-wife before being released from prison by Vladimir Putin 'faked his own death'

Vladimir Svitsov, who was also shot by Sergei Kadatsky, causing his left arm and shoulder to be amputated, claimed that his ex-son-in-law " had faked his death on the front line'

A killer released from prison to fight for Vladimir Putin during the Ukrainian war faked his own death, claims his former stepfather.

Sergei Kadatsky has been drafted into the Russian military for his 'shooting skills' after he ambushed and shot his ex-wife in a moving car.

He was released from his 15-year sentence for killing ex-wife Yulia Donchik, 36, in a sniper-style shooting.

But reports claimed that he died during the war and was awarded a posthumous medal of bravery by the pro-Russian leaders in Luhansk.

The case exposed the "depravity" of the Kremlin in freeing hundreds of vicious murderers from prison and sending them into battle.

But an alarming new twist from Yulia's father, who was also shot by Kadatsky, 41, causing his left arm and shoulder to be amputated, says his estranged son-in-law faked his death in the premiere line.

Vladimir Svitsov said: "I understand that the fatherland must be defended and that there were penal battalions during the Second World War, but I am outraged that Kadatsky, after serving only five years in prison , had the chance to win his freedom.

"I find it unfair that criminals guilty of crimes such as the murder of my daughter have such a chance."

He warned, "I don't believe he's dead.

"He is alive and well. He has served his sentence for six months since May, and has therefore qualified to have his sentence commuted, with no further criminal liability.
