A 63-year-old man from Saudi Arabia has caused a stir on social media after recounting his experience of marrying 53 women.

Abu Abdullah was looking for the perfect partner and said he wanted to spend his life with one woman.

According to Abdullah, he did not seek personal pleasure in his multiple marriages but stability and psychological comfort.

Now he emphasizes that he is married to a woman and has no plans to remarry, he confirmed to MBC in a weekly broadcast.

Abu Abdullah married all 53 wives at different intervals, but first married at the age of 20 to a woman six years his senior.

While some praised the video, others said there was nothing to be proud of and criticized it.

He is now dubbed the "polygamist of the century".

Abu Abdullah said: "When I first got married, I didn't plan to marry more than one woman because I felt comfortable and had children. "

"But after some time problems arose and I decided to remarry at 23 and informed my wife of my decision," he added.

He also pointed out that when a problem arose between his first and second wives, he decided to marry the third and fourth, and after some time divorced the first and second.

Then he divorced the third after a quarrel between him and his fourth wife.

According to the Arab daily Sabq, Abdullah married several women in search of the one who would make him happy in his life. He continued to marry, even after divorcing his fourth wife.

Mr. Abdullah explained that stability comes from marrying an older woman, not a young one.

He also revealed that the minimum length of his weddings is only one night and that all of his weddings are traditional.

While most of his marriages were to Saudi women, Abdullah also decided to marry a foreign woman when he traveled outside the Kingdom and lived for 3-4 months for his own work.

In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and throughout the Arab and Islamic world, the number of polygamous marriages has steadily declined as people opt for more contemporary lifestyles and live in smaller homes.
