During today's Direct, Nintendo revealed gameplay footage from the upcoming detective adventure game, Master Detective Archives: Rain Code. He also revealed that the game will be released on June 30.

Rain Code was developed by Too Kyo Games, which was founded by Kazutaka Kodaka, the author of Danganronpa games. The new game bears some similarities to that franchise, at least artistically. That said, at least part of the game's concept seems to be inspired by the Ace Attorney franchise.

In the game, players follow Yuma, an apprentice detective haunted by a spirit called Shinigami. Yuma explores the company-controlled Kanai Ward and investigates a series of mysterious incidents. He works alongside a master detective with supernatural detection abilities. They will share these abilities with Yuma, who can use them to collect evidence.

Once they have gathered their evidence, Yuma and Shinigami venture into a maze where they battle inconsistencies. The game will be released on Switch on June 30.
