Meet Huesera in Mexican Horror Trailer 'Huesera: The Bone Woman'

"When you become a mother, you feel like you're cut in half." XYZ Films has unveiled the official trailer for the indie Mexican horror titled Huesera: The Bone Woman em>, opening in US theaters in February. It premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival last year and received rave reviews at other festivals including Neuchâtel, Bucheon, Edinburgh, Bergen, Fantastic Fest and Sitges. Huesera follows the story of Valeria, a young woman expecting her first child who is cursed by a sinister entity. Immersed in a terrifying and dangerous world, a group of witches appears as his only hope for safety and salvation, but not without serious risks. Natalia Solián stars as Valeria, with a cast including Alfonso Dosal, Mayra Batalla, Mercedes Hernández, Aída López and Martha Claudia Moreno. It looks incredibly creepy once the trailer kicks in, lots of creepy footage in this second half! This part of the cradle viscerally breaking like a bone is nothing short of terrifying. Huesera: The Bony Woman, also known as name of just Huesera, is directed by Mexican filmmaker Michelle Garza Cervera, who is now making her directorial debut after many short films before, and is working on the television series "Marea alta". The screenplay is written by Michelle Garza Cervera and Abia Castillo. It is produced by Machete and Disruptiva in coproduction with Señor Z, Maligno Gorehouse, IMCINE, Terminal, Simplemente, Estudios Churubusco. This originally premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival last year. XYZ Films will debut Huesera in select exclusive U.S. theaters on February 10, 2023, then on VOD starting February 16, with a streaming release on Shudder later this year. Who freaked out?
