Metallica pays tribute to Eddie Munson with Stranger Things TikTok Duet

Metallica obviously gave the show its blessing to use the song, but went even further by recording a duet with the clip of Eddie performing with the band sporting baseball t-shirts Hellfire Club officials.

The band also posted a clip of the scene on Instagram, expressing their gratitude for being included. Their message reads:

"The way the Duffer Brothers have incorporated music into 'Stranger Things' has always been on the next level, so we were beyond thrilled to not only include 'Master of Puppets' in the series, but also to to have such a pivotal scene built around it. We were all thrilled to see the end result and when we did it we were totally blown away... it's so extremely well done, so much so that some people could have guessed the song just by seeing a few seconds of Joseph Quinn's hands in the trailer! Isn't that cool?"

To make things even cooler, Metallica bassist Rob Trujillo's son Tye Trujillo recorded some extra guitar tracks on stage, proving just how much Metallica was at odds with the cause from the beginning.

Season 4 of 'Stranger Things' is now streaming on Netflix.
