Michael Jackson biopic director Antoine Fuqua 'blown away' by Jaafar Jackson's 'uncanny' resemblance to his late uncle

Director Antoine Fuqua teases Michael, the Michael Jackson biopic in which he unfolds to work on and says he's "blown away" by the "uncanny" resemblance between the main star and his real-life uncle, the King of Pop.

Jaafar Jackson, who is the son of Michael's brother Jermaine Jackson, will play the iconic Lionsgate singer biopic.

"It's weird how much he looks like Michael," Fuqua told EW in a recent interview. “He looks like him, dances like him, sings. It's really strange. Graham King, who is a fantastic producer, found it and introduced it to me, and I was blown away. »

Although the film is on hold due to the writers' and actors' strike, Fuqua said that the biopic would tell the story of Michael. story "as we know it" and would address some of the controversies the singer was embroiled in during his lifetime.

"Just to tell the facts as we know them, about the artist, about the man , on the human being. You know, the good, the bad and the ugly," Fuqua added.

Michael will be directed by Fuqua with a script by John Logan. Graham King is set as the producer, who was behind the story of Freddy Mercury Queen from Bohemian Rhapsody. GK Films will produce alongside Jackson's co-executors John Branca and John McClain.
