The Commons has passed a motion to force the publication of secret texts and emails about Covid PPE contracts secured by a company linked to fellow Tory Michelle Mone .

But ministers will release the documents when investigations are complete, the government said.

Health Minister Will Quince told the Commons the administration was "committed" to producing the information on Medpro PPE.

But he added that it would happen when 'all inquiries have been completed'.

Labour deputy leader Angela Rayner had told Tory MPs they would be “accomplices in a cover-up” if they voted against the motion, which called for the publication of all communications by ministers or advisers with the controversial company.

In the end, they abstained and the motion passed unopposed in the Commons.

Baroness Mone has come under increasing pressure since it was reported that she was a beneficiary of an offshore trust which allegedly received £29m of profits from PPE Medpro.

The former lingerie entrepreneur, knighted by David Cameron in 2015, has previously denied benefiting financially and claimed she was "not connected to PPE Medpro in any capacity".

She must take leave from the House of Lords to "clear his name" of the allegations.

But Rishi Sunak has been accused of weakness for his failure to remove the peer's Tory whip.

Labor's motion came in the form of a "humble address" to force the publication of "all documents, advice, and correspondence involving of Ministers and Special Advisers" to the all-party House of Commons Public Accounts Committee.

Such an ss address has been used successfully in the past to force the release of government documents.

In his diary he wrote: "Baroness Michelle Mone sent me an extremely aggressive email complaining that a company she is helping is not getting the multi-million contracts books she deserves.< /p>

"She claims the company, which makes lateral flow test kits, 'had a terrible time' trying to cut through the paperwork and demanded my "urgent help"...
