India: Twins born with one torso survive rare childbirth

Doctors were shocked when a pair of twins were born with four arms, four legs and two heads, all attached to the same body.

Their mother, Jitendra Nayak, 23, is believed to have been rushed to hospital on October 6 after suffering pain, where they performed an emergency delivery.

Although an ultrasound was performed before delivery, where an abnormality was discovered, the doctors were still surprised at the condition of the twins.

In one clip, the two babies, who are fast asleep, can be seen breathing heavily as their unique chests move in and out at different rates.

As their bodies intertwine, both of their heads are tilted back slightly, in an effort to avoid colliding.

According to reports, the twins were born in a private hospital located in Merta, Nagaur, India and after being admitted, a team of doctors finally decided to operate.
