Mourinho's toxic denunciations earn him another ban in Italy

June 29 - Roma coach José Mourinho is in hot water again after being handed a 10-day suspension for the start of the next Serie A season for comments he he held about an Italian referee.

The ban by the Italian FA (FIGC) means Mourinho will miss Roma's opener and could also miss the team's second game, depending on when the fixtures are scheduled.

The Portuguese, who has also managed Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham and shows few signs of reigning in his notorious tantrums, will not be allowed to appear on the touchline or in the Roma dressing room on any day of match during the first 10 days of the new Italian national campaign.

Mourinho wore a microphone for 'protection' when his Roma side faced Monza in May, but he still couldn't resist an attack on the referee after the match in May claiming Daniele Chiffi was 'the worst referee I have ever seen in my career."

He was also fined €50,000, as was Roma.

This is the second penalty in a matter of days that Mourinho faces after being suspended for four European matches by UEFA last week for abusing England referee Anthony Taylor after Roma lost to Sevilla in the final of the Europa League.
