A suspect wanted over the weekend in a series of stabbing attacks that killed 10 people in and around a Canadian indigenous tribal reservation has died of self-inflicted injuries - ending on a four-day manhunt.

Myles Sanderson, 30, was apprehended near the town of Rosthern, Saskatchewan, about 62 miles southwest of the area where the murders took place after authorities said he and his brother elder were responsible for the stab wounds.

And he is now believed to have died of self-inflicted injuries, reports Canada's Global News.

His older brother and accused accomplice, Damien Sanderson, 31, was himself found dead Monday, a day after the stabbing, in a grassy area of ​​James Smith's Cree Nation.

"There is no further public safety risk associated with this investigation," an alert from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said earlier.
