'My Three Sons' star Dawn Lyn's condition improves after brain surgery, coma

Dawn Lyn, former child star of TV show 'My Three Sons', is slowly recovering from brain surgery that left her in a coma... she is now breathing on her own.

Tina Cole, who starred alongside Dawn in the 60s and 70s when their sitcom was on the air, told TMZ that Dawn continues to improve, sometimes opening her eyes and breathing on her own with oxygen.

Tina says Dawn's husband John texted her with a health update on Monday night, saying Dawn was doing her best in the hospital since having brain surgery.

It looks like Dawn has a great support system around her... Tina tells us she visited Dawn in the hospital last week, holding Dawn's hand and talking to her as she was unconscious.

As we reported...Dawn was fighting for her life last month after going under the knife to remove a brain tumor.
