Neighbours: Amazon to relaunch soap opera, four months after final
Amazon has announced the relaunch of Australian soap opera Neighbours, less than four months after its highly publicized last episode.
The show will resume filming next year and will then be available in the UK and US on Amazon Freevee, the company's free streaming service.
Neighbors is "a unique series with a powerful connection to its fans around the world," Amazon said.
Those fans thought it was over when its finale star-studded aired in July.
Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Guy Pearce were part of Old favorites who returned for what was thought to be the final episode, in which all the houses on Ramsay Street were for sale.
But Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson), Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy), Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy) and Ryan Moloney (Toadfish Rebecchi) will be among the cast returning to the streets of Melbourne for the new series.
Fletcher said it was "incredible news" and Donovan said he was "thrilled".
