There is no escaping it - good perfume is expensive. It's simply because of the raw materials: plant and flower oils can be extortionate, especially if they're rare or highly sought after. The other thing that makes perfumes more expensive is how they are made. Fragrances are created in layers - made up of top notes, middle (middle) notes and base notes to give more depth to a scent, but this is more expensive as blending the ingredients requires expertise and time. All of this means more money. But here's the thing: more expensive, well-made perfumes last much longer, both on your skin and in the bottle, because you don't need to use a lot of them. Undeniably, there are scented perfumes that are much cheaper, but these tend to be more diluted, created with less valuable ingredients (usually more alcohol than the actual perfume) and you can guarantee the scent will last. not long.
