New York court dismisses Kevin Spacey sexual assault lawsuit

Mr. Oscar winner Spacey has denied the charges against him.

He is facing five separate counts of sexual assault in the UK United, for which he pleaded not guilty. That trial is scheduled to begin in June 2023.
On Thursday, following a three-week civil trial in Manhattan federal court, a jury found that Mr. Rapp had failed to prove his claim that Mr. Spacey had made an unwanted sexual advance.
Deliberations lasted more than a hour and, after the judge read the verdict, Mr Spacey reportedly hugged his lawyers before leaving the courtroom.
Mr. Rapp says Mr. Spacey was around 26 or 27 when he met him at a party at his Manhattan apartment.
In an article from October 2017 Buzzfeed, Mr. Rapp said that Mr. Spacey picked him up, placed him on a bed and lay partially on top of him. "I was aware that he was trying to be sexually with me," he wrote.
