Groom accused of killing wife on honeymoon in Fiji after 'whirlwind romance'

A man has been charged with murder after authorities say he killed his wife while on their honeymoon in Fiji.

Bradley Robert Dawson, 38, allegedly murdered his wife Christe Chen Dawson, 36, in their hotel room at a resort in the Yasawa Islands, we have learned.

Mr. Dawson was "nowhere to be found" when the body of his wife, who had been dead for five months, was discovered, but police quickly caught him and took him into custody.

Neighbors of the couple say Ms. Dawson had expressed her excitement just weeks before spending her honeymoon in paradise.

The case has now been transferred to the High Court in Lautoka on the island, after Mr Dawson was charged with one count of murder.
