19 clubs vying for six promotion tickets to National Volleyball Leagues in Kaduna

Six promotional tickets are available for 19 clubs to jostle as the second phase of the 2022 Division 1 & 2 National Volleyball Leagues kicks off on Friday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that two promotional tickets are each available in the men's and women's categories of the National Volleyball League Division 1 2022.

Six teams participate in each of these two competitions, while seven teams participate in the National Division Two Volleyball League 2022, where two promotional tickets are offered.

The three competitions will take place at the indoor and outdoor volleyball courts at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna from Friday, October 21 to October 30, with the teams expected to arrive on Wednesday.

After the technical meeting of the competition on Thursday, the games will begin on Friday with the first game of the men's division 1 league between the Caliphate Spikers of Sokoto and ABM of Katsina.

JVC of Bauchi will later face Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) while Spartans Spikers of Yola will face UCEM of Enugu.

In Day 1 of the Division 1 Women's League, the Senior Ladies of the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) will take on Life Camp VC.

In addition, Bayonet Spikers of Jaji will face Olalomi Super Angels of Offa while Yelwa VC of Bauchi will face Anambra Angels.

Division two is in the men's category only, with the participation of Sword VC teams from Kaduna, Bayonet Spikers from Jaji, G-Ranks from Kachia, CNS Spikers, Plateau Rocks, Adamawa and Taraba.

Speaking on the competitions, Martin Melandi, the technical representative of the Nigerian Volleyball Federation (NVBF) Board, told NAN that everything has been set up for a smooth event.

"We wish all participating teams successful games. They must be good ambassadors for their different clubs.

"They need to be disciplined in their games, while players and coaches need to have good conduct throughout the tournament," he added.
