National Vice President Emeritus of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Dr. Paul Nwachukwu, said the choices Nigerians make in the 2023 general election will determine the direction the country takes.

Nwachukwu also said that ministers of God would play a decisive role in choosing the next president of the country and not commoners.

The Cleric said this in Onitsha, Anambra State on Sunday, on his 75th birthday and 55th year as a Cleric.

Nwachukwu, who is the Presiding Bishop of Grace of God Mission International, called on the people to be properly guided by prophetic pronouncements and guidelines in choosing the next president of the country, pointing out that God has used his prophets to do exploits.

He pointed out that there was a divine agenda to install a heavenly mandate as the country's next president.

According to him, the only setback to realizing God's purpose of giving Nigeria a good ruler after His heart was if the people refused to make the right choice.

He noted that the idea of forming a ministry in which trainee-missionaries were equipped and empowered was to go into the backcountry and win souls for Christ.

President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Bishop Daniel Okoh, who was also present, said Nigeria would come out of the woods if the citizens rightly voted for a God-fearing president in the upcoming presidential election. Okoh said the 2023 election offers the electorate the best opportunity to install the president of their choice through the ballot box.

He expressed the belief that the Church had a great role to play in the emergence of the next president.

"The Church is a non-partisan party in electoral matters, it has a duty to ensure that the people are properly guided in choosing the leaders they choose. If Nigerians can unite and forge a common front, the choice to transform this country is in their hands,” he added.

Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo in his congratulatory message described Bishop Nwachukwu as one of the pillars of development in the state.

Soludo, who was represented by his special adviser on political issues, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, said the celebrant was a man of God who had raised great leaders and represented what Christianity was.

Contributing, the current NFP National Vice President in the South East Zone, Bishop Maxwell Korie, also described Nwachukwu as the father of many Pentecostal preachers in Nigeria and abroad, adding that the celebrant was showing signs of virtues of nobility, Grace of God in his exemplary life and his giant exploits of the kingdom.

Furthermore, the General Overseer of All Christian Fellowship Mission, Rev. Dr. William Okoye, noted that Nwachukwu was a spiritual guardian of the Southeast.
