2023: IPAC seeks stakeholder engagement

The Inter-Party Consultative Council stated that the successful implementation of the 2023 elections requires active cooperation and strong commitment from all key actors and stakeholders in the country.

The Chairman of the National Council, IPAC, Yabagi Sani said this on Monday while receiving officials from the Savannah Elders Council Center for Diplomacy, Democracy and Development in Abuja.

Sani, in a statement signed by his media assistant, Ayuba Ahmad, explained that the current challenge of insecurity in some parts of the country required everyone to be on deck to usher in the conducive and safe atmosphere grudge necessary for peaceful and credible elections.

He noted: "IPAC has developed a comprehensive program to sensitize strategic institutions, agencies and key players in the electoral process on the imperative of collective efforts to make the 2023 general elections peaceful, transparent and believable."< /p>

Earlier in her address, the Head of Delegation, Zainab Bulkachuwa, said the visit to IPAC was in furtherance of the Council's mission to ensure the deepening of democracy in Nigeria through " the emergence of a congenial socio-political atmosphere for peaceful, credible, free and fair elections under responsive and responsible leadership”.

Bulkachuwa, retired President of the Court of Appeal, called on IPAC leaders to persuade its members, the registered political parties, to conduct their affairs within the framework of democratic principles such as inclusive participation, fairness and justice.
