2023: Break free, vote against APC, Atiku tells Lagosians

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has warned the people of Lagos against the return to power of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), both nationally and at the level of the States.

He spoke at the party's presidential rally at the Teslim Balogun Stadium (TBS) in the Surulere neighborhood of Lagos on Monday.

The former vice president said he would "restructure" the country if elected in the next election.

“If elected, I will restructure the country. For 23 years, you have been voting for a family. It's time to break free and vote Jandor,” he said.

It has also discredited the claims of the APC to enable major development in the state.< /p>

“One family ruled the state for 23 years,” he added.

"...the Federal Government has built the Third Continental Bridge, the Agege Highway and other road infrastructure in the state, the APC Government is lying to you about the development of Lagos.

"It is time for you to free yourself from a family government that has been in power for more than 23 years, by electing Jandor as your governor."

Atiku has pledged to privatize all refineries and raise $10 billion for the empowerment of women and youth in the country.

"People asked how I will get the money but if I privatize the Warri refinery and others I will get the money,” he told the crowd.

Earlier at the rally, PDP gubernatorial candidate in Lagos, Adeniran 'Jandor' Abdulazeez, told party supporters that he would end all forms of harassment by members of the directorate of Lagos State Parks and Garages formerly NURTW and other miscreants causing chaos in the state.

“For the past 23 years we have seen nothing in Lagos and it is time for us to have a meaningful government in Lagos by voting for me,” he said.
